The city lays down official channels of movement and people define their own—often more efficient—ways through.
I found this metal rod jammed into a recently constructed concrete barrier, one that blocks a previously well used—if unauthorized trail over a railroad track. The rod acts as a perfect step to launch one’s body over the domineering wall.
Human ingenuity and dissent in one small innovation.
